Mia Newman
Oologah-Talala High School
Mia Newman is class valedictorian and was recognized by the College Board as an Advanced Placement Scholar. She is a senior color guard member and competes on the horse judging and veterinary science career development event teams through FFA. She has earned the school’s Mustang 300 distinction by completing 300 volunteer hours; she has volunteered with Bit By Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, the Talala American Legion and Oologah Lake Army Corps of Engineers. She is a certified hoof care practitioner and plans on pursuing agribusiness with preveterinary studies at Oklahoma State University.
