Outstanding Program Awards for School Foundations

The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence annually presents one or more Outstanding Program Awards to recognize innovative programs sponsored or administered by public school foundations in Oklahoma. Trophies and monetary awards of $2,000 each are presented to the winners, who will also be recognized at the Academic Awards Celebration on May 2, 2026, at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

Recognized programs may include but are not limited to: curriculum enhancement, arts integration, student leadership development, student scholarships, mentoring, professional development for teachers, public relations and fundraising. 

Nominations for recognition may come from anyone knowledgeable about the foundation, including its board members.  

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Nominees must be registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3)organization.
  • Nominees must serve elementary, secondary or technical public schools in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Only one program per foundation may be nominated for recognition.
  • Program Award winning foundations are ineligible for nomination for one award cycle following the award. 

The nomination deadline for 2026 has passed.
