Jacklyn Crabbe

Westmoore High School

Crabbe is a four-year varsity soccer player and member of the Oklahoma Celtic Soccer League. She organized Westmoore’s first sports bra drive, collecting 200 bras and $700 for local athletes. Crabbe wrote a research paper about implicit bias against minorities in healthcare, which was published in Rutgers Journal of Bioethics. She is founder and co-president of the Gray Space, a club that discourages black-and-white thinking regarding contemporary issues in society. Active in Student Council, she is a Cleats4Kids Varsity Board member and a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Member. Crabbe is a self-taught ukulele player and earned a blue belt in Taekwondo. She plans to study developmental psychology in college.

Katie Ellis

Southmoore High School

Ellis is National Merit finalist, class valedictorian, and National Hispanic Scholar. She is captain of her  academic team and a member of Youth and Government Club, Model United Nations Club, Hispanic Club and the National Honor society. A unique interest of Ellis’s is cardboard boat racing. Participants build a boats completely out of cardboard and then compete in races. Her team has received awards for first place and best shipwreck. Ellis plans to major in biology and pre-medicine in college.

Danny Ly

Classen School of Advanced Studies at Northeast

Ly is a National Merit Finalist and Advanced Placement Scholar with Honor. He serves as secretary of his school’s Senior Student Council, president of Asian Club and Club Med, and is the content manager of Youth Advising Youth at the YWCA. During the summer of 2022, Ly participated in the German-American Partnership Program, an exchange program in Berlin, Germany. In his free time, Ly loves to write poetry and short-form prose, as well as to research urban design. He will attend Swarthmore College as a prospective economics and political science major.

Cora McKinney

Putnam City North High School

McKinney is an Advanced Placement Scholar and has been recognized for academic excellence in multiple English classes. She was junior officer for her school’s National Honor Society her junior year, and elected president her senior year. McKinney has been a football and baseball trainer throughout her four years of high school. She has been active in all orchestras within her school, being a section leader her senior year as well. McKinney plans to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University to study fisheries and wildlife science, with the intention of becoming a wildlife biologist.

Elsa Stewart

Enid High School

Stewart is a National Merit finalist, class valedictorian, and U.S. Presidential Scholars Program candidate. She has received the College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition Award and is an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction. She is a varsity swimmer, a congregational music chorister, and an environmental engineering intern. She also runs a business selling commissioned paintings. In her free time, Stewart enjoys art, hiking, and spending time with family. She plans to major in civil engineering with a minor in architecture at the University of Utah.

Cadence Walton

Southmoore High School

Walton was recognized by College Board as an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction and earned a Letter of Commendation for her outstanding performance on the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. She is a National Honor Society member and qualifies as an Oklahoma State Regents Academic Scholar. As a starting setter, she played on Southmoore’s varsity volleyball team and earned Varsity’s Most Improved Player Award. Walton plans to major in computer science at Oklahoma State University.

Sean Wu

Classen School of Advanced Studies at Northeast

Wu is a Summa Cum Laude valedictorian and a National Merit finalist. He was a recipient of the State Superintendent’s Award for Arts Excellence in 2022. He also won the U.S. Tennis Association Foundation National Junior Tennis and Learning Essay Contest in his division in 2021. Wu has played violin for over 10 years, playing in the All-State Orchestra for three years and as the concertmaster at school. He also plays piano for church meetings. Wu enjoys playing video games and serves as the captain of the League of Legends team. He plans to major in a STEM field and music at Tufts University.
