Turpin High School
Romero has been awarded the Duke University Talent Identification Program State Recognition and the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma Student of Today Award. A Washington, D.C., Youth Tour delegate, she has served as 4-H president, Academic Bowl captain, Student Council treasurer, Fellowship of Christian Athletes vice president, and senior class vice president. She has been active in track and softball, earning All-Conference Catcher honors. Romero volunteers at Crossroads Therapeutic Equine Riding Center and shadows a local veterinarian. She plans to major in animal and dairy sciences at Mississippi State University to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
